Tests And Recreational Dilemmas In Sequence

Too physically wiped out to participate in Friday Night Fights, even if i was mentally fit for it. But did manage to crawl out of bed to to post

We get a new Doctor in a few weeks. I'm curious to see how it plays out. Will they explore the question of why both the Master and the Doctor have regenerated in female form at the same time? Is there some over-arching reason for this within the Doctor Who universe? Or will they just leave it lie as an external political function of the story telling?
We'll find out soon enough.

In the meantime, we're here with some other puzzles, conundrums, and games from the Doctor and the Daleks. Let's open with a traditional Spaceword Puzzle to loosen up the ol' grey matter-

And, let's continue to give the brain some warm-up stretches with a couple short quizes-

There we are. Brain humming along now that we've primed it? Good. It's time to practice our cryptology. That'll come in handy if we're going to have to go underground to deal with the Daleks. (A friendly warning. I found number 3 to be a bit tricky on this first set)

As usual, tune in tomorrow for the answers to our puzzles.

  1. I've got this book (and therefore the answers) so it would be unethical of me to participate. Interestingly, the illustrations in the Escape From Skaro are by Ron Turner and lifted from the back-page Daleks strip in TV21 in the '60s

    1. I don't know why, but my comments seem to be repeating on a few blogs, despite me clicking the 'publish' option only once.

  2. Ah - but i pulled from more than one book, to make it a little bit trickier. I knew you had the sources, though. They were in a previous conversation. Still had to run that little sequence of them, though, so i could use the title.

That system glitch has affected more than just you. But, if you go back, you'll find that i've been cleaning up after the system and expunging the dupes. I knew it was the system, but i didn't want it reflecting on the posters to those who weren't aware.

It could be worse. The system was bouncing comments for Mindbender at about the same time you were getting double posted recently.
    Not very comforting.

    1. Ah, right - I didn't check, so just assumed you'd used one book. It's not just your site that repeats my comments - Rip Jagger's Dojo and Moonbase Central are doing the same thing.
