Frank Borth's Mistakes

From the way i've featured and talked about him, one might come to think that i view Frank Borth as some sort of Perfect Artist or something. But, i assure you, that's far from the truth. In fact, he's not only made mistakes - he's made hundreds of them!

Think i'm exaggerating?
Not at all, and i can prove it.

Here are over 335 Mistakes from Borth -

Before you ask - No. We won't be running a guide to all the mistakes. You'll have to count them yourself.

Sorry, John & Marsha - They Got The Names Wrong (+FF&G)

One of the (many) great things about Stan Freberg is that i can run across a comic from 65 years ago and still hear Stan's recordings in my head when i read it...

Some odd fun for us old folks, and perhaps younger listeners of good ol' Doctor D. If you were wondering, the comic came out just 3 years after the release of John And Marsha.

But, it sure doesn't make a lot of post, does it?

Hey! We just saw Frank Borth again this past week. How about we let him show us how to draw Benjamin Franklin?

Yes, i've been digging into the old blog piles. Maybe we'll finally get back to one of those dangling threads around here and follow up on one of the first gender swaps which are so fashionable these days.

Meanwhile, you know what else i've been missing?

Friday Fun & Games.
Think we can get that ball rolling again?
Let's find out...

It's possible that the puzzle page above was drawn by the same guy who did the one below from later in the same issue: our old fave, Ellis Chambers

Okay, that'll do for a restart. Maybe it'll even continue. Either way, we'll have what answers there be on the morrow...

Covering Early Ditko

Oops.

We forgot a post, even though i mentioned it while we were indulging in Ditko this week. Previously i said we'd get a collection of Ditko covers from Amazing Adult Fantasy and the earlier titles which we were perusing, so here they are - 23 covers from Steve Ditko's rising days in the mid-50s and early-60s...

Okay...   Now we'll move along from Ditko for a while.

Tomorrow i believe we'll visit with Stanley & Edwin!(?) See you then.

S&S's Forgotten Fantasies (Bonus)

Brain not like words.

Have extra pictures instead.

(If you weren't already following along, here are parts One, Two, and Three in this series)

Another 'almost' appearance of Stan & Steve in this one...

Now if you'll excuse me, i'm gonna slip back to the '50s for some earlier Ditko.
