Bears In Space?

Sleep still savagely fragmented, and now breathing getting in on the fun. Or lack of breathing, to be more accurate - bad sinuses; allergic to the planet sort of thing. So brain extra scattered, and it's time for my monthly foraging run down the hill. Not going to do a lot of writing at this point.

Fortunately, we've already got another tale featuring Eric St. Clair's familiar Bear already prepped and ready to go. Here's No Peace For Bears -

That place sure looks better than Jellystone, doesn't it?

Covering Out Of This World

This machine is still limping along without hard drive, running off of USB sticks. But it's actually the least impediment to posting lately. My mind is scuttling away from the outside world, making focusing on the posts more difficult, but fighting my way past that, too.

And then there's Blogger's 'upgrade' and the thoroughly frelled image uploads. That's a killer. It was only on the last attempt before giving up for the day that it finally upped the images for this post.

So, my apologies for the gaps lately - i'm working on it, but others are working against it. Hopefully things will smooth out soon.

Meanwhile, since the brain doesn't want to focus on wordly bits much, lets take a look at some covers. Out Of This World only had 16 issues between 1956 - 1959. That run of fewer than a dozen & a half issues sure produced a number of nice covers, don't you think...?

Of course, it never hurts to have Steve Ditko on your team.

The Statues Walked My Darling Into Time

My thanks once again to Steven Thompson for recommending Lou Cameron. I've been very much enjoying digging into his work, and i hope the rest of you have been enjoying this sampling of his comics.
To conclude our weekend with Lou Cameron, we have a varied trio of tales a mix of Romance, Science Fiction, and Weird Horror - Goodbye, My Darling, Mission Into Time, and The Night The Statues Walked -

As we've seen, although the new Unsleeping Dead collection may focus on Lou Cameron's horror work, he was at home in many genres - Horror, Science Fiction, Romance, Crime, War, Adventure....
However, Lou fans might note that there is one particular genre we pointedly have not touched upon this weekend.

That's a topic for another day.
