Girl Guerrila, Not Gorilla Girl

No Friday Fun & Games today. Still in rebuild and reload mode on the systems here, but have at least moved enough data onto the new desktop to get a quick post up.

With our recent look at "Comics" McCormick, we were looping back around for another look at Supersnipe. While we're heading there, let's take a quick peek at another of George Marcoux's characters from the series - Roxy Adams, Girl Guerilla.

She first appeared to torment Koppy McFad back in '43 in Supersnipe #9 - both in the lead feature and the text story. In the years that followed, she had 9 more adventures, one of them being another text feature. We'll take a closer look at her after things are back in what passes for order around here. Meanwhile, here's her first solo story to give you a look at Roxy -

Sunday Matinee Triple-Feature-In-One

Welcome back to our weekend visit with old friends. We've got something special for the main feature on today's matinee - a triple team-up with Supersnipe, Ulysses Q. Wacky and Herlock Domes.in a full length adventure; 25 full pages from back when other heroes were only getting 8-12 for their stories. Or less.

First up though - Jet Dream and her Stunt-Girl Coutnerspies!
For our bracketing tales this time, let's focus on the newest S-GC, Ting, whom we met yesterday. First, a two-spy mission with just Jet & Ting -

We've seen before how Supersnipe has crossed paths with other superheroes like Doc Savage and The Shadow. This time our heroic trio (no, not the ladies) teams up with a hero of a different kind...

We've covered about half of the Stunt-Girl Counterspies' adventures this past week. I'm sure the other half will show up before too long. (After all - the artwork is already prepped & ready to go.)

Sunday Morning Funnies - Old Friends Edition

Most of our friends for this morning's Sunday Morning Funnies come to us from Supersnipe. Koppy is here to help out his friend Ulysses, but his costumed persona won't be joining us this morning.
Before that, however, let's check in with a couple of residents of his book, but not his world. (I think. Y'never know...)

First up, the mad stylings of Dwig, creator of Huck Finn & Tom Sawyer and their Robot Duck. Another of his very odd strips that ran in Supersnipe was the castaway adventures of young Bobby Crusoe -

It gets stranger after that.

But strange was no stranger to Supersnipe & company. And Muffo The Magician has only gotten stranger since last we saw him...

With those sort of back-up featuers, Ulysses Q. Wacky, boy inventor, almost seemed quite normal by comparison, no? Koppy (Supersnipe) McFadd is here to help Wacky create his Flying Suit...

Okay. Let's let them rest.

While Koppy and Ulysses recuperate, we'll go check in with Ulysses Jr, from another old favorite - Louis Ferstadt. We've seen the two previous - here's the 3rd and final episode of Penny And Ulysses Jr. - Kalamazooki!
