These all come from the 1940s since that's where i've been working -

FF&G - Return To The Great Game

Ah... missing those days when i was working and the home studio had several networked machines on the render farm. There was never a time without primary system - not like today. It's likely to be a couple weeks yet before access to data is restored and machines are back to fully functional. However, while most of the puzzle/quiz/game archives are out of reach, i did find an old friend of Friday Fun & Games to help us out today.

Let's return to The Great Comics Game for another batch of quiz pages. This set includes some characters and comics that were in the To-Blog pile - from Jungle Comics to Smitty, The ... Office Boy - so we'll be seeing some again after access is restored.

Friday Fun & Games - 'Trekki' Style

A cautionary note on today's Friday Fun & Games entry:
Some of the proffered answers are consistent with being unable to spell the word 'Trekkie' as it is spelled by Star Trek fans. Be prepared to supply your own answers when necessary, with bonus points given for context solutions to Al's errors -

Puzzle answers (and corrections) available in tomorrow's Saturday Solutions, as well as the puzzle source.

puzzle from ... weren't you reading that line above?

Why is all this empty white space down here?
Oh... it's not empty. There's words!
In fact, this whiteness is filled with 600 characters.

Why?
Because this is the 600th post!

But, really - is there any point to celebrating that milestone? Certainly not worth offsetting the scheduled Friday Fun & Games post; not in my opinion. More fun to wait a bit for the 666th post to roll around. We'd have fun celebrating that comic book character that Disney bought along with Marvel - Satan!

So, we'll probably visit with his kids then - they both have had their own Marvel comics features.
See you then!

FF&G - Spectacular Marvel Xword Trip

As is likely rather obvious to anyone who reads this blog for any length of time, my mind tends to wander where it pleases, often heedless of my attempts to herd it toward my preferences. This week's edition of Friday Fun & Games is a result of that.

I started prepping this puzzle way back in August, during the first week of the King Kirby 100. Then my mind went off and designed that KK100 Crossword Challenge instead and left this sitting in the To-Do pile. Not entirely a bad thing - the puzzle came out well enough that it went off to the Kirby Museum and Kirby Collector magazine, but this old Marvel crossword challenge sat languishing and wasted.

I finally To-Did...

Due to the text size, those pages are double the usual width for easier reading when clicked upon.
And, like the puzzle says, see tomorrow's Saturday Solutions for the answers.
