Mystery Again? But We Had That Yesterday!

Before getting into the identity of the mystery movie from which screens were posted yesterday, let's add a mystery comic to the pile.

This one goes back a ways. Many of us have old favorite characters whom we'd like to see revived, perhaps even upon the big screen. But there's some that, no matter how much one might hope otherwise, there's a fair certainty we'll never see again. One of those, for me, comes from over 30 years ago. Perhaps he's familiar to some others, too?

A teaser...

What a start.

why spoil the guessing fun at this early stage? (1980s)

  1. This one has been driving me crazy--I can remember reading & enjoying this series, and that it was by Warren Publications, but I can't recall the name of it (or its lead character), or whether it ran as a backup in The Rook or 1984/1994. Maybe now that I admit to not remembering, that elusive knowledge will finally shake loose from the depths of memory.

  2. I don't think 1984 had enough issues to cover even the small run that our hero lasted, so it must have been The Rook, right?
Let's pencil that answer in for tomorrow's post.

I know what you mean about hiding knowledge. Once you give up the search, if you're lucky, it's ollieollieoxenfree.
    If you're lucky.

  3. Ok, now that I've recalled the name of "America's Foremost Hero", I can remember why it was so hard to remember...

  4. Well, that's his title not his name. The name precedes that phrase.
The last couple days have been scattered, as evidenced by the lack of posts. And while i'd like to think that i'll be focused enough to write this post tomorrow, let's kill the suspense, shall we?
His name was Joe Guy - America's Foremost Hero.
    (Wotta guy!)
